Open positions at Trinity Theatre Company:
Teaching artists are responsible for providing a fun theatrical experience for students across San Diego County. Teaching artists will provide a variety of experiences for students based on site location. Some sites will focus on putting together a full show performance, others will focus on skills-based classes and camps to make theater accessible to all. Teaching sites include South Bay, College Area, and Escondido.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 12 completed units in theatre, education, or other related field from an accredited college required
- Degree in theatre, education, or other related field (preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of theatre basics and basic musical theater dance and singing
- Bilingual a plus (not required)
Major Responsibilities:
- Teach and instruct students using a variety of teaching methods
- Implement curriculum to provide a quality theatrical education for students
- Establish and maintain communication with families, school facility staff members, and Trinity Theatre Company staff
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings required for the teaching position
Job Requirements:
- Weekday availability (typical hours are between 2:00pm-5:00pm)
- Reliable transportation
- Negative TB Test, CPR and First Aid Certification
- Must pass a background check and LiveScan application
